ABSTRACT

Over 50 years of research and practice in human factors and ergonomics discipline clearly demonstrated that consideration of workers as “human being” in designing work and production systems results in beneficial outcomes. The objective of this chapter is to identify selected human factors and ergonomics standards developed by the international, national, and local bodies and provide selected bibliography to assist researchers and practitioners in human factors and ergonomics domain. The listing of the standards is reasonably current as of 2020. The standards that were selected contained the terms human factors or ergonomics in their titles. Those standards that did not contain these terms in their titles were not included.
