ABSTRACT
This chapter provides general guidance in finding international, European, and national standards and guidelines on human factors/ergonomics. Also, specific guidance is given to the primary standards of the United States (except military standards that are discussed in another chapter of this handbook), Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, and Japan. A chapter in this handbook discusses standards in China. Some of the more widely known ergonomics standards and guidelines are introduced and resources are shared for the main standard developing bodies. Details of many standards mentioned in this chapter are discussed in this handbook.
