ABSTRACT

The purpose of this paper is to propose a new numerical algorithm for the inverse problem in electrocardiography with the unknown conductivity: Determine the surface distribution of electric current of a heart and the conductivity in a body by means of the measurements of electric potential and current on a body surface. Our algorithm is based on the direct variational method, and a functional is minimized by the method of the steepest descent. In this paper, we confirm the effectiveness of our algorithm by numerical experiments.
