ABSTRACT

Decoding of the human brain is one of the most complex, difficult but demanding research areas of the current era. Neuroscientists are able to understand how objects and features are represented inside the brain, although it is not fully achieved because of many limitations especially due to the unavailability of hardware which can measure all brain activities. There are different approaches to analyze the relationship between stimuli and brain activity, but the one based on predicting the stimulus from the concurrent brain recording is called brain decoding. In brain decoding, initially experiment design and data collection are the important parts which need a lot of attention. Analysis of brain data is a complex procedure and consists of many steps, as the brain itself is quite complex. Since the brain has a lot of data and only a small portion is significant, significant features are required from the data which is done using feature selection techniques.
