ABSTRACT
Globally, economies and societies are going through the most fundamental change in history. A new dynamic order is forming, and—more importantly— so is a new mode of functioning of society and its organizations. The Great Transformation is the reason why ever more organizations— in the business sector as well as in the non-business sector— operate in a zone of excessive and accelerating changes. Information technology is one of the major drivers of the Great Transformation. Successful digitization needs cyber-systemic complexity management. Only together will they create the ability and willingness of people and organizations for fast change. Digitization and the cyber-systemic management of organizations have the same hour and place of birth. The foundations for modern computer technology are the same as for the proper management of societal organizations.
