ABSTRACT

SnO2 quantum dots (QDs) decorated on TiO2 nanospheres have been synthesized and used as photocatalyst in photodegradation of 2-nitrophenol. The photocatalytic behavior of the as-synthesized samples shows a more effective degradation of 2-nitrophenol as compared to pure TiO2 nanospheres. This study offers for potential applications of QDs decorated semiconducting titanium dioxide in treatment of polluted water by degrading pollutants.
