ABSTRACT

Research in two-dimensional nanomaterials augurs electronics-world revolution. Keys for powerful, miniaturized devices are conceived in chemistry/physics laboratories. How does molecular science contribute to improving two-dimensional-nanomaterials properties? How to handle substance? People familiar with matter manipulation create much civilization stuff. Alchemists, chemists, and molecular scientists seek to expand matter understanding. Frontier science provides hope for problems but inequality persists. Science must contribute to life being better than the previous generation for everybody. To associate word chemical with a scientific laboratory is common. Now, chemical stands juxtaposed to natural. While many manmade chemicals are toxic, the same occurs with natural products. The artificial/natural dilemma comes from alchemy: A cause is lack of spreading. Need for communicating science is a secondary effect of scientific creativity. The principle of caution should be applied. 268Subjects come unstrung. What to do if science policy comes into conflict with boss/employees? Bioethics subject is to look after life. One never had as many possibilities of taking care as now. However, life was never as much threatened as today. One can look after life but destroy it with greater easiness. Bioethics becomes ethics of responsible management of human life. Notwithstanding, laic ethics/religions arise, where theological positions must abandon dogmatism and moral monopoly. Scientific questioning creates hypotheses, trusting discoveries. Fiduciary listening dares to wait that revelations become public. Both are capable of searching, questioning, and changing one’s mind faced with data.
