ABSTRACT

Recently, cryptocurrency has been a huge debate among leaders in business and finance, especially in the way it can revolutionize finance and transaction. Chicago Mercantile Exchange trades Bitcoin futures, and there are merchants who accept cryptocurrencies as payment. As the development of cryptocurrency will only get faster, we review literature and Indonesian government stance and law. We argue that business should be conservative in adapting to cryptocurrency amid its limited uses, volatility, and relatively small market cap.
