ABSTRACT

Nanoscience is the study of phenomena on materials at atomic, molecular and macromolecular scales, where the properties can differ significantly from those at a larger scale. Nanosensors have became one of the main research fields in nanoscience due to having effective solutions in medicine, agriculture, enviroment, and computing systems. These nanosensors could be interconnected with the existing wireless communication systems, which can produce a new domain that is called internet of nano-things (IoNTs). This chapter covers the sensing mechanism at nanoscale, introduces recent studies targeted by the IoNTs in health and medicine discipline, and describes the production of nanomaterials used in IoNTs.
