ABSTRACT

Lasers have been used in aesthetic practice over the last 40 years to treat different indications ranging from laser hair removal, scars, pigments, and vascular lesions. Recently, non-light energy-based devices have become popular, which use alternate means like electricity, ultrasound, and cold. These devices are found to be more suitable for dark skin as they offer more safety while maintaining good efficacy as they are non-chromophore-selective.
