ABSTRACT
In this part of the book, composites made from wood, metals, and ceramics will be explained. The need for composite materials is growing and new materials for the composite world are needed. The use of lightweight materials is one of the top topics of priority in many applications and using the right class of composites is a good solution to this issue. Moreover, the use of sustainable materials such as wood flour, novel metallic reinforcements, and the use of ceramics obtained from different natural resources present new class of composites. In this chapter, a brief introduction to composite materials is presented. Detailed investigation of three different classes of composites are explained in detail.
