ABSTRACT

Prevalence of neurodegenerative disorders is related to environmental pollutants and factors. Along with environmental factors, there is genetic vulnerability of predisposition of these. Pre/postnatal exposure to environmental cues such as pollutants, organic solvents, pesticides, herbicide, insecticides and heavy metal ions predisposes the individual to neurodegenerative disorders due to defective growth and development of brain. Proper policy making and safety measures are needed in this regard, to decrease the risk of neurodegenerative disorders.
