ABSTRACT

Bearing is considered as one of the essential machine element functions that allow rotational or linear movement, which reduces the friction and magnifying performance to save energy. The expected life of a bearing is based on the load carries and operating speed, but here we focus on a lifetime of ball bearing. Here we take a real data set which represents the number of million revolutions before failure for each of the ball bearings in the life tests. In this chapter, we are modeling the failure of ball bearing and the estimation of the parameter, reliability function, and hazard function. A Bayesian approach is used for lifetime estimation of the ball bearing.
