ABSTRACT

After184 15 years of corporate game development I went indie, built a studio and made many games. I made many mistakes and had many successes. How did I balance the idea of making art versus making a business? What would I do differently and how can people not make the same mistakes? This chapter will be an overview of the differences between indie games in mobile and corporate game development, and how we can still find ways to make money despite not having the tools that the bigger studios have.
