ABSTRACT

Ever since the automotive industry began around the 1860s, it was an industry that had the whole world enamored with its complexity. The Internet of Things (IoT) can be defined as many different things, but when it comes to automobiles, it is about the sensors, actuators, and technology that connects cars to users and even cars to other cars. Many artificial intelligence applications can be found in a car. The most popular and talked about is the premise of self-driving cars. Companies such as Toyota are going so far as to invest $1 billion in research and development funds to develop autonomous systems. As IoT and the associated functions become popular, IoT will be increasingly incorporated into vehicles. The development of fifth generation, or 5G, networks will soon support the amount of real-time data throughput and drastically increase the ability to connect vehicles to vehicles, and car to driver.
