ABSTRACT

Successful implementation of the enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions in organizations does not automatically lead to successful ERP usage by end-users in these organizations. To improve the ERP system’s use after their implementation in ERP systems operation phase (which follow the ERP system stabilization phase), organizations need to be aware about the factors that influence the ERP end-users’ attitudes and behavior related to the ERP use and acceptance. Technology acceptance model (TAM) proposed by Davis et al. (1989) is proven that can accelerate understanding of the factors that increase the ERP system efficiency and effectiveness. We expanded the model with additional external factors related to ERP systems acceptance. Research was initially conducted in the EU but because ERP acceptance is influenced by organizational culture, which in different cultural environments differ, we have also conducted research in India. Research result’s similarities and/or differences are discussed from multicultural perspective.
