ABSTRACT

Algae are among the most widespread types of aquatic photosynthetic organisms on Earth, and they contain unique features. Algal cells are able to produce molecular oxygen by way of photosynthesis and are classified by: (1) pigmentation and photosynthetic mechanism, (2) nature of cell wall components, (3) nuclear organization, or (4) nature of food reserve. They are also classified by color: green, red, brown, and blue-green. In the present study, green algae were considered as a substrate for nanoparticle synthesis.
