ABSTRACT

The replacement of the road bridge is mainly caused by deterioration and damage of the decks. Therefore, a simple and quantitative evaluation method for decks is required. The authors conducted an impact vibration test using a portable FWD and accelerometers on the small steel girder bridge constructed in Yamagata Prefecture. The dominant frequency and vibration mode of the target bridge were determined by performing fast Fourier transform (FFT) on the measured value. In addition, the deterioration of the bridge was examined by comparing the measured values and analysis values used the 3D FEM model.
