ABSTRACT

The temporary fixed steel bar is critical fracture part during the construction of FCM PSC bridges. However, it does not monitor although the tension loss of temporary fixed steel bar could be cause the collapse of bridge. To monitor the tension of temporary fixed steel bar during construction of FCM PSC bridge, this study applied an EEM sensor based tension monitoring method. To verify the applicability of the EEM sensor based tension monitoring method, the UTM test was performed using steel bar specimen which used in the actual construction field. The permeability which is the slope of magnetic hysteresis was increased according to the increase of tension of specimen. Also the tendency of increase of permeability according to the tension was same with variation of strain. According to the result, the proposed method can be used for monitoring the tension of temporary fixed steel bars during construction of FCM PSC bridges.
