ABSTRACT

Self-anchored suspension bridges have been increasingly popular in the engineering and academic field, but there is only few researches on their health monitoring and evaluation system in operation stage. In the case of Egongyan No. 2 Yangtze River Bridge in Chongqing, the bridge with largest span of its kind, a set of intelligent health monitoring system was established in the paper - based on cloud platform, intellectualization and internet of things technologies. It forms a monitoring network by collecting data, deploying real-time load, displacement, stress-strain, acceleration and other mechanical sensors, and transmitting sensor information to the cloud platform for analysis and processing. The system realizes real-time monitoring, early warning, analysis, evaluation, safety warning and other functions to ensure bridge safety. The research on long-term health monitoring and operation evaluation system is of great significance for infrastructure and urban traffic safety, it also provides a reference for similar bridges.
