ABSTRACT

The Bridge Management system of Finnish Road Bridges had been in use from 1990’s. It was used by all bridge engineers in Finland, state officials and most city officials as well as consultants and bridge inspectors. The data, photographs and de-signs were well kept in the system for planning and decision making. Railway Bridge data was in a separate Management System by the Railway official, also dating from the 1990’s. The new Management System for all structures of the infrastructure was introduced in 2017. It includes data that replaces many of the old systems, processes and archives.
