ABSTRACT

The next three chapters consist of reports given at the Tin and Cell Malignancy Symposium. Chapter 12, provided by Dr. Abu-Samn, presents a method of synthesis and analysis of a new group of organotin compounds. In the succeeding chapters, Dr. Gielen and Dr. Huber discuss the evaluation of specific organotin compounds as anti-tumor agents. In Chapter 13, Dr. Gielen reviews the structure of several tin-bearing organic compounds showing some degree of effectiveness against P-388 mouse leukemia. Next, Drs. Huber and Barbieri in Chapter 14 consider the relationship between structure and antileukemia properties of triorganotin derivatives of several amino acids and other tin compounds.
