ABSTRACT
Chapter 18 consists of a written review of the hitherto unpublished plenary lecture given by Dr. K.R.S. Ascher at North American Organotin Day in 1983. It deals with the insect antifeedant properties of a number of organotin substances. This submission is followed (Chapter 19) by a report on the effects of tin steroids on various insecta by Dr. R.N. Sharma, Vrushali Tare, and S.B. Bhonde. Dr. Sharma, one of our collaborators on the anticancer project, is examining over 20 tin steroid materials in an ongoing program. He has kindly consented to a submission of his results to date. In Chapter 20, Drs. Runciman and Yau present a specialized study of their examination of tin steroids as bacteriacidal agents.
