ABSTRACT

As the future of work becomes more virtual and diverse, the need for inventive abilities empowering individual’s creativity for designing novel solutions will be crucial. Since the new industrial changes are moving faster than ever predicted, the learning and teaching curves within universities are now more than ever challenged to go side by side with the technological and global changes. As startups and the entrepreneurial mindset have been recognized as the growing trend of the last decade, the future of work will continue to include many young entrepreneurs trying to establish a startup on a local or global scale. In order to respond to ever-growing global work and economic challenges, universities need an active entrepreneurial ecosystem combined with knowledge on current and future technologies, skill sets, and work industry trends. The proposed model of Evaluating Entrepreneurial University Ecosystem from Talent Development is designed to identify different development stages and activities of the university entrepreneurial ecosystem from the student perspective. The goal of the Evaluation Model is to indicate the possibilities for higher talent development and entrepreneurial activities on university premises through four components: motivation towards entrepreneurship, awareness of entrepreneurial activities, skill sets, and usage of external learning resources.
