ABSTRACT

A technical analysis for the performance maximization of spin lasers by optimizing the spin polarization has been presented in this paper. Fine structure state for Mg atom and its decomposition into a superposition of various spin states of valence electrons, and control of the degree of spin polarization through time delay between laser pulses (ns and fs) have been described. Maximization of spin polarization, as a function of various quantities of dependence, has been suggested. The generation of thermoelectrically induced spin torque, and the mechanisms of spin torque generation have also been technically discussed.
