ABSTRACT
The biotic stress because of insects and diseases exert their influence on growth and productivity of cotton. Several concerted research studies were directed in studying their effects, developed techniques, and enabled in understanding physiological, biochemical, and molecular mechanisms to these stress factors. The research advances that occurred are briefly discussed in the following sections.
