ABSTRACT
Uterine fibroids are common benign tumors in women and are usually present in the reproductive age group. The association between fibroids, infertility, and adverse pregnancy outcome is a matter of great concern in view of their prevalence. This chapter outlines the mechanism by which the fibroids exert their effect, and it also discusses their methods of diagnosis and available treatment options.
