ABSTRACT
This chapter provides a practical and strategic approach to incorporating multiport robotics in the minimally invasive management of uterine fibroids. The highlighted techniques are based on 19 years of clinical experience with applying robot-assisted laparoscopic myomectomy to optimizing fertility-sparing/enhancing surgery. Strategies around proper port placement and docking will be reviewed along with best practices around the incorporation of supplemental and complementary surgical devices. Lastly, given concerns about morcellation, an approach for contained extracorporeal cold-knife tissue extraction will also be presented.
