ABSTRACT

This chapter discusses how to communicate with different decision-makers in a company, specifically when it concerns solving the challenges that a game can have. It also discusses common pitfalls that analysts tend to fall into when communicating with others than their peers and outline some best practices when it concerns integrating analysis within the company. Communication is very important in the industry, and the subject is widely discussed both among analysts and with other teams. Asking analytical questions is difficult, but it can help to put them in a process. Paradox Interactive has done this, and it is used when defining key metrics for a product. The process involves everyone in the team and thus includes a lot of different perspectives, which, in turn, is a great way to align all team members when thinking about what is important to know about the product.
