ABSTRACT
River flow changes associated with changing climate can have various impacts on reservoir management. Impacts on multi-purpose reservoirs can especially be complex because they have multiple regulations or constraints on their operation required for their purposes such as flood control, water supply, or power generation. In this chapter, the effectiveness of adaptation options of reservoir management to climate change is discussed based on impact analysis of river flow changes on the operation of multi-purpose reservoirs. The effectiveness of adaptation measures which can lead to better water resources management through multi-purpose reservoirs is assessed to identify an effective way to mitigate the impacts of climate change.
