ABSTRACT

The continuous decrease in the availability of an energy supply encourages society to determine alternative energy sources, such as biogas, which is an anaerobic fermentation process consisting of organic waste and methane bacteria. This simple process produces energy in the form of methane with the ability to create heat. The raw organic material used in this process is waste products from dung. Biogas fuel as a substitute for kerosene was practically implemented in Cikoneng, Cileunyi district, Bandung. As a result, cows were no longer allowed to roam along the road, as they were caged with their dung processed as fertilizer against its initial indiscriminate displacement, which polluted the soil and environment.
