ABSTRACT

The primary aim of the Universitas Terbuka (UT) is to assist students willing to attend higher education through an open and distance learning system. It provides a learning medium capable of improving the quality of distance learning using an interactive video program based on problem-based learning (PBL). The research aimed at theoretically reviewing the interactive video based on PBL. Half of the respondents in a field study stated that it had not been optimally utilized because of the materials package, and this motivated students to determine solutions to the problems, thereby easily understanding the learning material in the modules. The implication of this article was the need to develop and evaluate interactive video programs based on PBL for UT students.
