ABSTRACT

It has been observed that children are prone to emotional problems when they are not well taught with cooperative learning methods in kindergarten. Therefore, the objective of this research, which was conducted at MutiaraInsani Kindergarten, Mustika Jaya, Bekasi, is to obtain a clearer picture of children’s emotional intelligence through cooperative learning. Cooperative learning helps children to understand the fundamentals of manners such as the development of attitudes, behavior, religion, social-emotional language, knowledge of physical motor skills, and art skills needed to adjust to their environment. Problems found in the field are related to children’s emotional development, and the results showed that there was a significant increase in the development of children’s emotional intelligence through the application of cooperative learning methods in each learning cycle.
