ABSTRACT
This chapter has given an introduction to terminology and the use of functional imaging and quantitative electroencephalography (EEG) techniques in auditory processing. The software and tutorial links provide the reader with the ability to practice and complete real analytic processes used in acquiring and processing quantitative EEG and functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) recordings.
As we continue to understand the auditory system our electrophysiological procedures for both the diagnosis and exploration will become more complex. The individuals that have the ability to understand and use technology will be responsible for the advancement of our field of endeavor.
