ABSTRACT
This chapter is an introduction to the concepts and delivery of telemedicine (telehealth) services. The methods used by the National Network of Teleaudiology (NNT), at the World Hearing Center in the Kajetany, Poland have resulted in efficacious otology and audiology outcomes. These services include telefitting with cochlear implants, telediagnostics, telerehabiliation, and teleducation. It appears the long-term services provided through the NNT are effective and cost-effective. Consequently, service models discussed in this paper appear to be reasonable blueprints to follow by clinicians interested in starting a teleaudiology or teleotology program.
