ABSTRACT
Geoparks and geotourism concepts are emerging trends in the tourism industry and protection of geological sites. The aim of this chapter is to explore proposed geopark projects and the progress of geotourism in Turkey. At the same time, this chapter describes some general information about the geographical and geological characteristics of Turkey.
