ABSTRACT

This chapter concentrates on the key issues for future sustainable management of geotourism and the parameters which can maximize the positive impacts of abiotic nature-based tourism in the 21st century. The topics discussed in the book covered by contributors are reviewed, synthesized, and other new matters are introduced. In order to expand concepts, various theoretical and practical observations are brought together, and the editor also develops some guidelines or strategies essential for geotourism planning and development. This chapter’s main effort is to provide a deep insight into abiotic nature and tourism connections, leaving a list of items for future discussion.
