ABSTRACT

Traditional floating support technology based on the pneumatic tire for submarine cable landing is outdated compared to the rapid development of submarine cables with higher voltage levels. It is necessary to update the floating support technology for the submarine cable landing to ensure construction efficiency and quality. An innovative technology using the floating pillow for the support of the cable during its landing deployment is proposed in this article. A matched rapid gas inflating and deflating technology is also presented. Applications of these technologies are expected to guarantee the reliability and economy of the submarine cable landing constructions.
