ABSTRACT

In the control methods of the Doubly-Fed Induction Generator (DFIG), the vector control technology has good dynamic performance and wide speed range, but the decoupling is complex and the response is slow. The direct torque control technology can control the torque and flux linkage of the DFIG directly, precisely and rapidly, but it is easy to generate large impulse current in the converter of the rotor side. In order to overcome the disadvantages of vector control and direct torque control technology, a new control model combining vector control and direct torque control is analyzed and set up. The new model reduces the dynamic response time by reducing the number of proportional integral controllers and makes the control process more stable. The effectiveness of the model is verified by the experiments of low voltage ride through (LVRT).
