ABSTRACT

Transition resistance between rail and ground is one of the main factors affecting the size of stray current. External environment can easily lead to the decline of local section transition resistance. Therefore, the research on the detection method of rail-ground transition resistance is conducive to timely discovering the problem of rail-to-ground transition resistance on metro lines and reducing the harm of stray current. In this paper, the influence of rail-to-ground transition resistance on the spectrum characteristics of rail mutual impedance is studied. The feasibility of detecting rail-to-ground transition resistance with rail mutual impedance spectrum characteristics is explored. The difference between transition resistance and other factors is found, and the spectrum characteristics of rail mutual impedance under the condition of non-uniform transition resistance are found. The research in this paper can provide reference for the detection method of rail-to-ground transition resistance.
