ABSTRACT

This research is related to the design of the integrated information system Bakery Resource Planning. The design adopts the Enterprise Resource Planning System (ERP), which is a combination of the Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) system and accounting, finance, and resource systems. Bakery Resource Planning integrates divisions within Dea Cake and Bakery. The aim is to improve the company’s effectiveness and profitability. The approach used was qualitative with a case study research method. The data were obtained through observation, documentation, and interviews of several parties related to the object of this study. The input subsystems in this research were Operational Module, Financial Accounting Module and Human Resources Module. The subsystem was processed using a Database Management System (DBMS). It generated reports that provided information for Bakery Resource Planning users. The result of this research showed that the operational procedure at Dea Cake and Bakery used a manual system. Costs related to production also could be misstated by management. In addition, employee’s absence used check sign system on paper. Based on these results, Bakery Resource Planning is expected to be a solution in conducting business activities at Dea Cake and Bakery.
