ABSTRACT

Tourism today has developed into a sector that can potentially increase the economy of a country. One of the strategies of the tourism industry that can improve competitiveness is tourism supply chain management. The purpose of this research was to analyze the supply chain model of the tourism sector. The research methodology used in this research was a qualitative method with case study design. The data were gathered through deep interviews and detailed observations on key information sources. The study focused mainly on the supply chain framework model in the tourism sector. The framework has three levels: strategic, tactical, and operational. Some other factors that were affecting the effectiveness of the supply chain were shareholders, tourism destinations, agents, tour operators, accessibility, attractiveness, and facilities. These components were suggested to be well managed by the stakeholders. Thus, they can increase the strategic values of business sustainability.
