ABSTRACT

Employment is undergoing enormous changes across the globe. The presence of the Millennial Generation (Millennials) has greatly altered the working environment. The characteristics of Millennial workers affect the behavior, mind-set, and performance of the workforce. The research examined here aimed at analyzing the impact of Millennial characteristics on performance achievement. The research population comprised Millennial employees from PT. Telkom Regional I and included a total of 306 employees born during the 1980–2000 period. The total sample in this research consisted of 173 employees. The data were analyzed using logistic regression, which can predict the level of performance accurately up to 82.1% based on the baseline performance of the average employee. The results indicated that various Millennial characteristics encouraged improved performance. Millennials’ fondness for technology, independence, team-oriented attitude, and desires can lead to higher performance.
