ABSTRACT

Most employee-attitude and behavior is determined by both personal and situational characteristics. Person Organization (PO) value fit, which is defined as the congruence between individual and organizational values, supports this assumption. The higher person-organization value fit perceived, the higher the employee attitude showed to be positive. PO fit has been extensively investigated in the empirical literature. This study focused on blue collar employees to examine the relationship between the fit of person- and organizational values with the employee attitude towards the organization. The overall findings suggested that perceived person-organizational value fit is positively associated with the employee attitude towards job satisfaction and employee commitment to the organization.
