ABSTRACT

This study aims to test whether there is influence of work–family conflict on job performance through emotional exhaustion as a mediating variable on nurses in the Emergency Department of the Regional Public Hospital (RSUD) Dr. Iskak Tulungagung. Research was conducted on nurses with a sample size of 70 people, and the analytical techniques used was path analysis using SPSS 21. The independent variable in this study is work–family conflict (X1) and family–work conflict (X2), the mediating variables are emotional exhaustion (Z), and the dependent variable is job performance (Y). The results of this study indicate that work–family conflict and family–work conflict have direct and significant impacts on job performance. The result shows that emotional exhaustion is the mediating influence between work–family conflict and family–work conflict on job performance.
