ABSTRACT

The purpose of this research was to examine the influences of financial literacy and financial attitudes on individual investment decisions. The samples in this study were street vendors in Rengasdengklok Traditional Market. This study used questionnaires administered to 96 people as respondents. This study used multiple regression analysis, using SPSS IBM 22 to analyse the data. The analysis results showed that the financial literacy and financial attitude influenced individual investment decisions. Simultaneously financial literacy and financial attitude influence individual investment decisions. This research has two implications. Financial literacy is the key factor on individual investment decisions, with the indicators are knowledge and financial concepts, ability to communicate about financial concepts, talent in managing personal finances, skills in making the right financial decisions; and confidence in effective financial planning for future needs. In addition, financial attitude influenced on individual investment decisions, with indicators are confidence, self-development, security of condition finance and attitude itself.
