ABSTRACT

The paper shares an experience in developing creative approaches in architectural education. The architect’s thinking specificity is considered as a theoretical basis for choosing a creative method for teaching history and architectural theory. The paper demonstrates creative approaches which applying to the interpreting of architectural theorists’ ideas. Review of fundamental texts of architectural theorists is the basis in developing thinking skills in architecture students at bachelor and master levels. The methods were selected through a critical review of existing methods for interpreting the theoretical texts. The result of the article was the illustrating of creative approaches in architectural education.
