ABSTRACT

This article proposes the cartography practice as a possible path to pair Peter Sloterdijk’s spherology theory and the expanded field of architecture and urbanism and deepen the understanding of the relations between the psychosocial movements and the spatial transformation in a contemporary city. As Suely Rolnik’s sentimental cartography presents us with a route for the resonant body – a tool of vulnerability to gain permeability into the intensities flow – this paper traces the path of an imagined cartographer through the discoveries on how social theories can impact and contribute to a richer analysis of the urban space.
