ABSTRACT
Translanguaging as a language practice is creative and enriching for individuals and societies. The diversity observed within communities of the modern world seriously challenges the systemic boundaries of languages, attitudes and meanings.Translanguaging is a multimodal phenomenon that transcends borders, codes and interpretations and is thus empowering for individuals. This paper explores the concepts of translanguaging and creativity and draws upon relevant examples of communication of Polish migrants in the UK.
