ABSTRACT
This book synthesizes the papers and discussions presented during a symposium titled "Chinese Rural Development: Strategies and Experience," held at Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, on July 30, 1989. This symposium was held prior to the Annual Meeting of the American Agricultural Economics Association (AAEA) and was part of the program organized by the AAEA Committee for Professional Relations with the People's Republic of China (China Committee).
